How do I enter a product?
First, you have to set up a user account at www.iparentingmediaawards.com.
Click on "Easy Submission," if you haven't set up your user account already and simply follow the three step process:
- Set up your contact information.
- Enter your product information.
- Indicate to our system your method of payment for the submission fee, which is $300.00 for each product title entered, with the exception of cribs which are $500.00. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and checks.
Once you have completed this process, your product will be properly entered and you will receive confirmation via e-mail that you have completed the process correctly.
How will I know that my submission was accepted?
You will receive a confirmation e-mail within 10 minutes of the completion of your submission if you entered it properly.
What do I do after I enter online?
After you have entered a product properly online, you will need to send us four identical samples of each product you entered, with the exception of cribs. Two identical samples of each crib are required.
All products must be received by the final deadline date or they will automatically be moved forward into the next Call for Entries program. There are no exceptions or extensions when a company misses the final deadline date.
Final product should be submitted. Final packaging is preferred, but not required. Prototypes will not be accepted or evaluated for any product category.
Beta versions for software and video games will not be accepted or evaluated.
Three consecutive back issues of each magazine submission are required. Folded and gathereds (F&Gs) are acceptable for books and magazines.
Products that do not receive an iParenting Media Award may be resubmitted for consideration at any time if the product has been modified or enhanced.
We do not provide refunds for submissions. All results are final and will not be challenged or reconsidered unless a product is modified and re-entered as a new submission.
Can I enter online but send a check separately in the mail?
Yes. All checks and money orders must be payable in U.S. funds to iParenting Media. Returned checks will be subject to a $35 fee. Submission fees are nonrefundable. Payments must be received by the Call for Entry deadline date.
How can I get a faxed copy of the entry forms?
We do not provide faxed entry forms. To ensure accuracy in your submission, please set up a user account and enter your product detail. If you need assistance, please contact us at 888-808-IPMA (4762).

Do I have to set up a User Account in order to enter a product?
Yes. In order to submit a product, you must set up a user account. You do this by clicking on the “Enter Now” or “Easy Submission” buttons on our Web site. When setting up your permanent user account, you will be asked to enter a user name and password. This will allow you to keep your user account confidential. Please note that our system is upper and lower case sensitive, so when you log in, please use the appropriate keys. Be sure to write down your user name and password and keep it in a safe place.
What if I do not receive a confirmation that I have entered successfully?
If you have not received a printable receipt within 30 minutes of your online submission, excluding any technical support assistance, your entry may not have gone through properly. Because the IPMA process was designed to support your inquiries 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, you can check online to see if your submission was successful. Please close out of all programs and visit our Web site again at www.iparentingmediaawards.com.
Log onto your user account area and scroll down to see if your submission appears on your home page. If you do not see it on your home page, please re-enter your product information. The submission should take you less than five minutes.

Can I e-mail my digital images to you?
Yes. If you did not upload them during the product entry process, send them to digitalimages@iparentingmediaawards.com.
Be sure to reference your product title, submission number and your user account I.D. in the body of the e-mail. Images must be either.jpg or .gif files and at least 300 dpi for printing. Images may be delivered via e-mail or on CD-ROM or floppy disks to our mailing address. Disks and images will not be returned.
What if I miss the Call for Entry deadline?
If your completed entry form, payment and four product samples are not received by the deadline date, your entry will be automatically forwarded to the next Call for Entry period. There are no refunds and your products will not be returned to you.
How will I know if I win?
Check your user account for notification updates. iParenting Media Award winners will also be e-mailed an award notification prior to the announcement date. An award certificate will follow in the mail.
Do I hear anything if I do not win?
All submitters will receive a snapshot of the product evaluation.
Can I contact iParenting Media reviewers?
iParenting Media policy strictly prohibits product submitters from contacting any of the licensed child care facilities, experts or individual reviewers to discuss a product evaluation. The purpose of this policy is to protect the reviewing party. If a submitting party violates this condition, the company will not be privileged to submit products to iParenting for a Media Award again in the future.
If I do not win an iParenting Media Award and resubmit the same product with modifications, how long will the evaluation take?
Your submission will be considered new and your evaluation will follow the standard Call for Entry process. Visit the Web site to monitor the status of your product evaluation.
According to my shipping carrier, sending four product samples will make my package oversized. What should I do?
Please make every effort to ship all four samples in the same box. If, however, this causes your package to become “oversized,” do not send the samples together. Make sure each box is labeled with the correct bar code number for your entry.

Should I include press releases and information on other awards that my product has won?
We will accept this information so we can learn more about your product, but it will not be considered as part of your evaluation. Press releases received via e-mail are welcome and are viewed by our magazine editors on a regular basis. If there is interest on their part to interview a product spokesperson individually, you will be contacted. All press releases to be considered should be sent to pressreleases@iparentingmediaawards.com.
Why don’t you send the press release materials to the external review sites?
iParenting Media’s evaluation process is facilitated from a consumer perspective and user experience. This means that our evaluator sites do not receive any information that a consumer would not also be provided with.
What is iParenting Media’s review copy policy?
Due to the overwhelming number of products, including books, iParenting Media receives for all of our magazines and media outlets, we regret that we can no longer accept submissions for review purposes only. We encourage you to participate in the iParenting Media Awards program where your products will be registered, acknowledged and reviewed by our team of licensed childcare facilities, experts and editors.

What happens if my package is oversized or overweight?
Oversized and overweight packages as determined by common freight carriers will incur additional charges in order for iParenting to ship this to our reviewers. Please expect the additional charges to be approximately the cost of shipping your product from your facility to iParenting Media. A representative of iParenting Media will contact you to arrange the additional payment.
If my product requires batteries, do I send them with the item being reviewed?
If the product comes with batteries, please leave them in the packaging. However, if the consumer is required to provide the batteries, please do not include the batteries with your submission.
My product requires assembly. Do I send the product samples assembled or unassembled?
Products that require assembly should be sent unassembled with instructions as provided to a consumer. Assembled product samples will not be evaluated.
I am considering entering a series of product. Can I enter them together?
Each item in a series must be submitted separately. iParenting Media provides a discounted submission fee for products that qualify for a series discount. Please contact our office at 888-808 IPMA (4762) or via e-mail at info@iparentingmediaawards.com for information on our requirements for a series and for a copy of the discounted pricing schedule.
My product is a kit with multiple components. Will there be an additional fee?
If your product has multiple components, such as blocks or a game with several parts, they are considered one submission and there is no additional submission fee required. If, however, your product has unique components that all make up a kit, additional submission fees may be assessed. In this case, iParenting Media provides a discounted submission fee for products that are part of a kit. Additional submission fees are assessed when a kit has more than three components. As an example: a diaper bag with a book, bib, bottle, blanket, etc. would be assessed a higher submission fee.
