    HyperScan™ Game System: HyperScan™ is a first-of-its-kind game system that lets players Scan, Battle and Re-scan!™ The hybrid game system is a breakthrough gaming platform that utilizes CD-ROM and RFID technology to bring the best of collector card games and video games together in one easy-to-use, highly customizable system. HyperScan™ combines re-writable Intellicard™ technology with the button-mashing action of video games. Players scan collectible cards over the HyperScan™ console and their favorite characters magically come to life on their television screen. During video game CD-ROM-powered play, kids can pause and scan their collectible game cards over the console to upgrade, modify and enhance their offensive and defensive battle abilities such as extra strength, armor and special attack. When victory is theirs, players re-scan their cards and their new winning powers are permanently upgraded onto their character card for use in future game play. The HyperScan™ game system comes complete with the console, one controller (designed for tween-sized hands), one X-Men™ CD game and six X-Men™ collectible game cards. HyperScan™ will launch in October with three titles, including X-Men™, Cartoon Network’s Ben 10™ and Mattel’s Interstellar Wrestling League™. Marvel Heroes™ will also be released in November 2006. Game packs will include one CD game and six collectible game cards. Booster packs will include six collectible game cards.
